Located on Croftville Road, just three miles outside Grand Marais' city center, is Eve’s Place Lakeside Cabins. Cabin 4 of Eve’s Place is one of the four unique "tiny house" cottages of the resort, located just steps away from the resort's private access to the shared 200 feet of pebble beach on Lake Superior. Croftville Road intersects Eve's Place between the beach access and Cabin 3 and the narrow road is a wonderful, quiet road for walking and biking. The official speed limit is 20 mph, but most people drive much slower to take in the beauty of this winding road along the rugged North Shore.
With 384 square feet of living space, Cabin 4 is the largest of the cabins at Eve’s Place, and comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 2 children. Or if you have 4 adults traveling together, this would be the cabin at Eve's Place to stay in. But keep in mind: it's still a tiny cabin. There are two bedrooms, each bedroom separated from the main room by curtains. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and the smaller bedroom a full bed. There are no closets, but each bedroom has a small dresser and hooks with hangers are located on the walls for your clothes. Between the two bedrooms is the updated bathroom with a ceramic tile and glass shower and plenty of towels. All the linens and towels are professionally cleaned for each guest. In the main room is a table that seats four, a small couch and a Smart TV if you want to watch your streaming services, plus WIFI throughout the cabin. Also in the main room is the kitchen with a refrigerator, small electric cooktop/stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware and all the kitchen gadgets you should need for your stay. There’s a heater in the main room to keep the cabin comfortable on cool evenings. All of the spaces and areas are small, but well-planned to meet your needs and each cabin is decorated with a unique arrangement of Eve’s paintings and drawings.
Cabin 4 sits the furthest back from the ever-so-charming Croftville Road, yet you're still close enough to the Lake to hear the waves and enjoy the spectacular view from your windows or your small deck that is just outside your front door. Just down from the deck are a metal fire ring and four chairs. In the evening, build a wood fire and make S’Mores with the provided marshmallow forks. You also have your own charcoal kettle grill with grilling tools. You can eat inside at the table or around the fire ring in the chairs. On a clear night there are always uncountable stars and, if you’re lucky, you may witness the amazing Northern Lights.
Just 50 feet down the driveway from Cabin 4 are the wooden steps down to the cobblestone and pebble beach exclusively for guests of Eve’s Place. Much of the North Shore of Lake Superior is cliff or ledge rock, with occasional small beaches like at Eve’s Place. Head to the beach to skip flat stones, hunt for elusive agates, or simply sit and watch the waves and clouds. There’s no need for an agenda at the beach.
You can take a short drive into the town of Grand Marias, "America's Coolest Small Town", to enjoy all of the shops and restaurants, or plan a day hike/bike on the never-ending trails nearby. Or simply read a book while taking in the sights and sounds of this majestic lake. This is the ideal location to enjoy all that Grand Marais and the North Shore has to offer.
Starting in 2024, Eve's Place Cabin 4 will be accepting dogs! Eve LOVED dogs. We love dogs. But we do have 4 little cabins at Eve's Place, and the other guests might not love your dogs. So please read the pet policy agreement before booking. We have had great success hosting dogs in Cabin 2, so we wanted to offer one more cabin as dog friendly. Cabins 2 and 4 are somewhat removed from one another, and because your dog must remain on a leash the entire time at Eve's Place, having two cabins as pet friendly should work out great. Please note that there is a full front glass door for your dog to look out, and they will have a view of Croftville Road where lots of people walk by with their dogs, so if your dog is reactive to seeing other dogs walking by, this might not be the dog friendly cabin for you. :^) Since we can't provide an open space for your dog to run, we give the local dog park (Go Dog North Shore) a large annual contribution to help keep the dog park in good condition. It's an easy 4 mile drive from Eve's Place. Check it out! www.godognorthshore.org
You will find our Pet Policy under the policy tab on the home page, and it is listed at the time of booking when you check off that you agree to our rental agreement. Please make sure to read the policy before booking. There is a pet fee of $20 per pet per night. Please make sure to "add" your dog(s) at the time of booking.
Bookings for 2024 will open December 1st, 2023. Starting with the 2024 season, bookings will be available 365 days in advance.

Continue on Highway 61 through Grand Marais for a few miles. You will see a sign for Croftville and Croftville Resorts, then a sign for County 87 on your right. Turn right onto County 87, which is Croftville Road. Continue down Croftville Road for about a mile, and you can't miss the sign for Eve's Place. If coming from this direction, Cabin 4 will be on your left. Remember, Cabin 4 sits furthest from the road. Pull up the long "drive" to the parking spot. If you follow Google Map directions, it has you overshoot the first entrance onto Croftville Rd, and takes you to the far entrance. If you do that, you'll still find us, but you'll have to take a very sharp right onto Croftville Rd, and then as you arrive at Eve's Place, you may miss the sign and pass us by.
Please email with any questions. Owners Mona and Ralph will be living on site starting spring of 2024 in the new owners cabin on the back of the property. We look forward to meeting you!
