Located on Croftville Road, just three miles outside Grand Marais' city center, is Eve’s Place Lakeside Cabins. Cabin 3 of Eve’s Place is one of the four unique "tiny house" cottages of the resort, located just steps away from the resort's private access to the shared 200 feet of pebble beach on Lake Superior. Croftville Road intersects Eve's Place between the beach access and Cabin 3 and the narrow road is a wonderful, quiet road for walking and biking. The official speed limit is 20 mph, but most people drive much slower to take in the beauty of this winding road along the rugged North Shore.
Originally built in the 1930s, Cabin 3 has had significant updates. This darling little cabin (at just 332 square feet) is ideal for two adults and two small children or perhaps three adults, if you like to be cozy. There are two bedrooms, each bedroom separated from the main room by curtains. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and the smaller bedroom a full bed. There are no closets, but each bedroom has a small dresser and hooks with hangers are located on the walls for your clothes. Between the two bedrooms is the updated bathroom with a ceramic tile and glass shower and plenty of towels. All the linens and towels are professionally cleaned for each guest. In the main room is a table that seats four, a small couch and a Smart TV if you want to watch your streaming services, plus WIFI throughout the cabin. Also in the main room is the kitchen with a refrigerator, small electric cooktop/stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware and all the kitchen gadgets you should need for your stay. There’s a heater in the main room to keep the cabin comfortable on cool evenings. All of the spaces and areas are small, but well-planned to meet your needs. Every cabin is decorated with a unique arrangement of Eve’s paintings and drawings and you’ll enjoy lake views from every window in Cabin 3.
Just outside your front door are a metal fire ring and four Adirondack chairs. Even though the fire ring sits closer to the road, you feel removed with the perfect placement of some lovely pine trees and the ever-present views of the Lake. In the evening, build a wood fire and make S’Mores with the provided marshmallow forks. You also have your own charcoal kettle grill with grilling tools if you wish to grill a meal. You can eat inside at the table, around the fire ring in the Adirondacks or at the picnic table. On a clear night there are always uncountable stars and, if you’re lucky, you may witness the amazing Northern Lights.
Just across Croftville Road from Cabin 3 are the wooden steps down to the cobblestone and pebble beach exclusively for guests of Eve’s Place. Much of the North Shore of Lake Superior is cliff or ledge rock, with occasional small beaches like at Eve’s Place. Head to the beach to skip flat stones, hunt for elusive agates, or simply sit and watch the waves and clouds. There’s no need for an agenda at the beach.
You can take a short drive into the town of Grand Marias, "America's Coolest Small Town", to enjoy all of the shops and restaurants, or plan a day hike/bike on the never-ending trails nearby. Or simply read a book while taking in the sights and sounds of this majestic lake. This is the ideal location to enjoy all that Grand Marais and the North Shore has to offer.

Continue on Highway 61 through Grand Marais for a few miles. You will see a sign for Croftville and Croftville Resorts, then a sign for County 87 on your right. Turn right onto County 87, which is Croftville Road. Continue down Croftville Road for about a mile, and you can't miss the sign for Eve's Place. If coming from this direction, Cabin 3 will be on your left. The little red cabin. Pull in the "drive" and park in front of the Parking sign. If you park in front of your cabin, you'll obstruct your view. If you park further over from where you see the parking sign, you may be obstructing the view for the guests in Cabin 4. We thought long and hard about where to place that sign so that you both have a good view:) If you follow Google Map directions, it has you overshoot the first entrance onto Croftville Rd, and takes you to the far entrance. If you do that, you'll still find us, but you'll have to take a very sharp right onto Croftville Rd, and then as you arrive at Eve's Place, you may miss the sign and pass us by.
Please email with any questions. Owners Mona and Ralph will be living on site starting spring of 2024 in the new owners cabin on the back of the property. We look forward to meeting you!
